After talking with one of the users, I decided to change the policy regarding advertising on the site, although I am not sure about that.
I myself am not pleased with the abundance of advertising banners, but I would like to receive sufficient income from the site in order to switch to part-time work and put more effort into the development of the site. I really enjoy the site, it's interesting. But at the moment you have to choose between a hobby and a job.
At the moment, the site is monetized only by advertising networks. And all materials are available to all users for free.
Some sections, such as testing sections, are available only to registered users, but registration is not a big problem, especially since the ability to authenticate via social networks has been added, and the list of such social networks will continue to expand. So, I repeat, I do not see a problem in such a restriction.
In the future, paid functionality may appear, which should not be a burden for ordinary users.
But at the moment the situation with monetization is such that the site is monetized only through advertising.
And now closer to the policy regarding advertising. The situation with advertising banners remains the same for unauthenticated users.
For the same users who have been registered and authenticated on the site, or authenticated on the site using social networks, the amount of advertising is significantly reduced, namely, I leave only one block of the Adsense advertising network on the sidebar.
Thus, I will try to meet regular users of the site in order to improve usability and site convenience.
Appeal to users
And now I would like to ask you, Dear Members.
If you think that the site is moving in the right direction, then please support its development.
This can be expressed in various ways:
- Writing articles
- Participation in the forum, answer the questions of other users (I do not always have time to give a full answer)
- Attracting new users through the distribution of links to the site on social networks, forums and other sites.
- Financial support of the site , since I consciously limit the possibilities of monetization through advertising networks.
