Qt developers are happy to announce the beta version of Qt Design Studio 1.5
Qt Design Studio is a user interface design and development tool that allows designers and developers to rapidly prototype and develop complex user interfaces. Both designers and developers use Qt Design Studio and this makes collaboration between them much easier and more streamlined.
The most obvious change in Qt Design Studio 1.5 is the integration of dock widgets using the Qt-Advanced-Docking-System. This allows the user to fully customize the workspace as well as undock any view into its own top-level window. This especially improves usability when working with multiple screens. The 3D view for QtQuick3D is now fully integrated.
Qt Design Stuido 1.5 comes with several predefined workspaces, but users can add and set their own workspaces based on their personal preferences.
Annotations are another useful addition. Elements can now have their own IDs without any syntactical restrictions for annotations. This greatly facilitates collaboration with other users and tools. User IDs from other tools or workflows can be fully preserved and users can easily add comments and additional information to each item.
Qt Design Studio 1.5 also has a free community edition that lacks the Photoshop and Sketch bridges.
